Noz
Any idea on what to do with the bonnet vents mate? Ive the same problem with water, its a right pain. I was thinking in making some fibre glass trays, or maybe something in stainless sheet. Did you find a solution to your problem?
The Raven
Plastic, Riveted into the other side, it wont seel them shut as air can still pass around the edge But shouldnt let to much water in,

The Raven
Not really. We all work flat out during the week and sometimes at weekends, so its a case of getting time when we can. End of Jan at a guess.

mwilkinson
Engine won't take long to lift out. There's nothing to it being an n/a But at least yours is in one piece!! Some good progress there. Are those my old genuine VS spats your blending in?
The Raven
Sure are mate. I hit the bro in laws car about a year ago and dented just above them, by the time col had pulled it out we figured might aswell blend them in. Should make the back end look fatter, downside is i think my wheels will look lost so i will need spacers

themodifiedkid
Yeah I found that angle grinder a very useful tool lol. Ive given the bay a pressure wash out to remove all the spilt fluids etc, also had half of epping forest lodged in the bay!!!!
redsupraman82
yeah i had to cut mine off with an angle grinder, although the sparks were going very near my fuel line! .....(Clench!) while its out mate, give it a nice clean up and check everything on your steering rack as if anything goes wrong with that e.g any leaks etc it will be a bitch to sort when the engine is in. what box you using with it?? mwilkinson
Hooray. Good stuff mate. Now your car looks like mine. Minimal engine bay / wire tuck me thinks.........?
The Raven
Wire tuck? I will just be happy with a working TT engine and box in. I have to say thanks to colin and my little bro in law kris, both where working on my car while i was working in lofts yesterday. So i wasnt there to see it removed. I think a check of subframne bolts, bushes and shocks are in order.
