The Raven
looking good, but......masking off the indicators before spraying the bumper?? that seems like a bit of a bodge to me The other one was removed, however due to the smashed nature of the front when i got it the other was was fibreglassed in place. No way would it have come out without ripping half the bumper off hence there was no way to remove it. The main damage was to the front cone anyway the rest was just blow over. I should also add that colin does not do this for a living, hes a plasterer. He charges mates rates to me. I dread to think what it would have cost to take it to the bodyshop for repair. Likewise with everything he has done on my car, from fitting my skirts/spats/ cutting my bonnet and wings doing my headlights. I would think it would all came in less than the other chap got charged for cutting his bonnet. If it was not for him helping me out and doing this in is spare time then i would probably still be driving it stock. One thing he is not is a bodger. Thats my title! i have lost count of the amount of times he has looked at me doing something to the car, waited a few seconds then told me to get out of the way. DaveR
Wow! I've never seen this build thread before, but I've just found myself totally engrossed and have read the whole thing from start to finish! I can't believe the difference you've managed to make to your car, from that early (*ahem*) "unique" stickered-up monstrosity to what is now a really really nice looking Supra. Seriously, well done! I'm now really looking forward to seeing the future changes. Keep up the good work!
The Raven
Have a roof spoiler coming shortly. I may fit it as is, or wrap with carbon. Should be here in a few days i will post pics when its on. Anyone got one fitted to an aero? Id like to see a picture of what it looks like with the roof off. CaptainChaos has one fitted to his bud, with no spoiler though (it looks magic imo) I love this thread btw, really impressed how you've turned the car round from what it was like when you bought it. Not a huge fan of the coded headlights though but they are different.
DodgyRog
This is looking really nice now and you didnt have to steal anything off mine;) Really impressed with the turn around on this car and on the limited budget. Might look good with the blacked out rear glass, but its now a Supe again and a great build thread as well
The Raven
Its deffo getting blacked out windows, more so when the boot build is done. Dont want little chavs breaking into the car to rip out stuff. The roof spoiler came yesterday but my postie never trys to get in the gate. He just drops a "its to big" note and runs away. So i will go down later and grab it. I am going to carbon wrap my roof. End of the day it needs a respray so i going to have to sand it back anyway. If it looks awful i will remove it and col will spray it as planned. Edited March 23, 2010 by The Raven (see edit history)
