i just had the stock J-spec twin turbo's rebuilt with steel blades, been driving with them in for about 2000ks now and they are starting to sound a bit lazier (or more winier) and louder than we i first got them, but its only like this on take off and slowing down, in the mid it sounds nice and sharp and the bov flutter is nice and there is no smoke on boost and start up. is this normal? is it just because the turbos are wearing in, i herd hybrids are a little more laggy, but i dont know if this is a prob or not. iam not running an air box either just a pod and i live in a hot environment could heat be doing this? maybe iam just paranoid lol

any help would be good

cheers

cant run the stock air box because of the front mount intercooler pipng

Yes you can but you need to use the first OEM rubber intercooler pipe in its normal position and then the second plastic one going through the wing. Then you need to do a little bit of messing around with the length of this plastic OEM pipe and then join to your FMIC pipes under that drivers side headlight area and you're done.

Left side of the engine bay will look stock, FMIC piping will start under driver's side wing and then continue to the throttle body. Stock airbox fits nicely. :)

I have hybrid turbos and I wouldn't say their "noise" has ever changed in over five years of ownership.

There is always a distinct whistle when no 1 is coming online up to about 0.3-0.5bar but then they are silent (or the whistle is hidden by engine noise).

nah iam in Australia so not from dan.

i have a greddy m-spec FMIC installed, i just tried it with the stock pipe, i could make it fit but it will take a lot of piss farting around, and like you said i tried it with the greddy pipe and it fits, JUST. Very tight fit, i thought i was going to break some plastic and thats with out the clamps in place so i thinks its going to be gay trying to put it on with clamps
