Duffman
Anyone any ideas waht could be the cause of this high pitched squeeling whenever boost comes online? I was thinking along the lines of split hose etc but can't seem to see any.
Scott
Do you get full boost? It does sound like a split pipe. Have you tried reving the car stationary?

gaz1
i had exactly that noise and it turned out to be a small split in the vacuum hose that fitted in the back of the boost gauge

Maybe having it plumbed wrong killed the IACV?
Duffman
Sounds like one of the VSV's is a bit iffy then. Maybe having it plumbed wrong killed the IACV? Was still making that noise when I switched the hoses ont he IACV to the right way...but yeah could be that one of them is a bit dodgy...maybe not closing/opening properly when it has supposed to

When it was the wrong way round it might have damaged it. Putting it the right way round would solve your boosting issues but as it is already damaged it could cause the noise. How is the boost in TTC mode?
