Impending deployment and selling the Supra

Got the call from my mobility section yesterday. Unless they medical disqualify me I am going to Baghdad, Iraq for a year, all my training starts beginning of May with .50 Cal training in Nevada, USA. I will have my car back from the shop for a a whopping 3 weeks of enjoyment before it has to be sold. Always a shame when you get things the way you want them and then it all goes south!

For those of you military minded curious people, I am a USAF Security Forces and we train their Iraqi police there, my tour will be spent outside the wire, patrolling and doing various other training type functions with the IP. It is the most dangerous mission my career field has encountered since Vietnam, better keep my head down. Should be a good time though.

Best news ever, all that deployment money allows me to start my massive 600HP Supra build when I come back and go to the U.S. Will probably still buy parts off here as some are cheaper than in the states :D

Good luck with the tour, and stay safe! When are the US planning on pulling out of Iraq?

How come you're selling up if you're going to do a single?

The US is slated to have our occupational size force out by Sept. 2011. As Security Forces we are the last to leave since we train their police.

I am selling because I can't just take a Jspec Supra back to the US. Cheaper to buy a Left Hand Drive one over there and start over.
