Damn paypal. I sold a car DVD player and screen because I changed it for a basic cd player. Anyway it was sold AS PHOTOGRAPHED to avoid any idiots moaning about what they received. But guess what, the buyer complained there were no power leads (system sold for £70 and you would think that is a fair price) I said the only leads were the ones in the PHOTO. Next step = paypal claim because it has no leads and is therefore faulty (?). I say it was sold exactly as advertised ie we have a valid contract. The fact the buyer wants more is not really important (it is not a part of the contract) So guess what paypal decide? Yip, took the money out my account, buyer to get refund! I am now sorely tempted to sue the buyer in the small claim court for the purchase price - could do it no problem myself but should I bother?

( Of course I got the customery negative lying feedback from the fecker!)

Did you say the buyer would need power leads? If they were necessary to operate the unit, why didn't you include them?

EDIT - just seen the listing. I think you should have mentioned the power leads. A bit misleading otherwise!

Paypal is only out for themselves. I sold a pair of jeans in November and because the buyer didn't get them the very next day they tried all kind of lies to get their money back and paypal was useless. Still not reolved yet!

I've removed paypal from my bank account debits list so they can't try to steal the money out of my account and any purchases I make using Paypal are done via a credit card for added security. Though overall I try to avoid them.

If I had said "comes with leads" that would be misleading (but true). So rather than list negatives I listed what is included in the sale and include photos of everything I am selling and say "sold as photographed" to make it clear. Pretty basic stuff. Had I lied or said something is included that was not then yes the guy would have a point.

LOL, what a crock, a misleading advert and by your own admission you left out the fact it didn't come with the cables required to operate it.

Take it to the small claims, see what they say :p

You are as thick as the buyer. Sold as seen means just that. You know I never said does not include aerial adaptor, does not included removal tool, does not include metal surround for facia, does not include free blow job but guys like you would expect that with a second hand stereo!

have to agree with Todd on this one - you didn't make it obvious that the most common component which is required to operate this device is NOT included - you had the choice of putting it IN the advert but didnt.

well done to paypal.
