Michael - not wanting to seem unhelpful, but the plates are only worth what someone wants to pay. D8UEY - is of great interest to the Registration Dealers as it is DaVEY. A personal favourite. TRD 904 - that speaks for itself, I think you will find TRD 900 for £2995 via NewReg, they are also representing mine by mistake. 436 GVT - is a nice bhp plate for someone with GVT as their initials and they will get a free Jag XJ6 in the deal. It is also a bit unique as a dateless registration. D4V GT - will most likley be sold within the Porsche Post for a GT2 and GT3 driver called Dave. But I wanted to offer it first here. I guess there are a lot of plates on ebay if you just wanted to mask the age of your car, that is where i bought the OIL plate from, otherwise I check my PM's daily. nuttynutz
too much time on my hands, but mcanny guessing it means michael canny? Click C19NNY not that you have to but make the 9 like a backwards P, put very close to the 1 and you have yourself an A for £1700 seems pretty reasonable, you could probably talk them down?? i remember once one of my brothers found the plate OLL1E for me, called up for qoute. £20,000, we hung up

I've chatted with them about C19NNY before today, it used to be on the DVLA site for peanuts but sadly at a time when I had no cash to spare - C9NNY and a few others were there too and none were over £500 (C4NNY is the expensive one - my old man settled for C4NYS but I don't like that one). £1700 wouldn't be too bad but the fact that I know how much *they* paid pains me and they won't shift on price I'm just after a bargain really, I can't justify paying more than loose change on two pieces of plastic
DaveN
Are you a paid up trader then? Michael - No mate, just a private owner (hence this post in the off-topic section) who suddenly realised that he had more plates than cars, which seemed a bit daft, considering I am skint most months ! Elliot
I got D6 EWS for £499 from the DVLA, because it sort of looks like DREWS. Before that, in one of their auctions they had E11 IOT, it went for around £7500 in the end, needless to say I wasn't the highest bidder! I was trying to work out what they were supposed to say, so glad you explained!
MONKEYmark
all them dodgy plates with illegal spacing or screws put in between letters to make them look like something else. mine was £399 all in and think it was a bargain. they only mean something to the person who owns them. there is a little merc/smart car thing around leeds 9 with a plate with i think is 1 number and 1 letter. that must have cost a fortune and its on a car likw that. anyone seen anything like that before? According to the vehicle data search on the RAC web site, MAR 5H is on a VW New Beetle Cabriolet, and M4 RSH isn't on anything.
