StuartW Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) Just building up the shortblock, The Wiseco sport compact pistons (Or any Aftermarket 2JZ piston) does not have the channel in the piston crown for oil cooling like the OEM pistons. SO is it worth leaving the under piston crown oil squirters in? I guess they will help cool the underside of the piston crown even on the wiseco's? The OEM pistons have a cut out in the piston skirt to accomodate the squirters but it seems the Wiseco skirt is at its longest, shorter than the OEM piston, So they should clear the squirters no problem?
