bigsup69
Tried searching and tried a few simple things but still no luck in getting it started. The engine turns over fine but seems like its either not sparking or the immobiliser is stopping it (as had a different car before with a clifford on and that immobilised itself), also if you press the pedal a few times while turning it over you can hear it splutter from the what sounds to be the exhaust. Its not been run properly for at least 2 months and the fuel has been in the tank for around 5- 6 months when it was run every weekend (only had quarter of a tank in though) but i have recharged the battery, checked the tightness of terminals, checked for any lose or split hoses etc, checked fuses in the engine and going out in a minute to check the rest, tried different things with the alarm after reading the toad ai606 booklet and seems to be working as it should. Tomorrow was going to check the spark plugs and that the fuel pumps working and getting fuel to the engine, anything else that might be worth checking? and yes i'm checking these first and then if still not something simply (like it ever is) I will be taking it to a specialist. Also its a single turbo auto.

AJI
battery might be knackered, even though you had a charger on it. Do you have a voltmeter?? Check the voltage across the terminals to see if it is holding 12v. Most modern batteries do not like being fully discharged, and charging them might build up a temporary voltage but it won't last long and probably won't get upto the 12v of standard power. tomgeer
Clean the spark plugs off and try it first of all, sounds very similar to what happened to mine, once I wire brushed the plugs it started straight away and it's been as good as gold since.
