Need help! loud knocking, engine not running.

ok, i am far from technical minded so need some help.

the car is a NA-TT since december 08 and the only 'mods' are a fmic, bov, sard filter, second de-cat and rps clutch.

basically, since having the car everything has run perfectly, i even had it on the dyno two weeks ago and got great results but on tuesday i drove out to my folks (not a hard drive) and everything still seemed fine, got back in the car after an hour or so and started it up to hear a loud knocking and the idle died down and the engine stopped.. so the car won't stay on, it starts up, loud knocking, then dies down.

The knocking sounded like it was coming from near the top of the engine but a local japanese specialist garage had a look today and took off the rocker but couldn't see anything wrong there. He said the knocking sounded similar to a car (not a supra) they had in that had a bent valve??

There going to have a more indepth look tomorrow but thought it post up here too.

I'm expecting really bad news here but if anyone can help or has had/heard anything similar then any advice would be great. :(

cheers

I would perhaps take it to somewhere that has a clue :(

indeed but Aberdeen sadly lacks much decent garages.. and i can only harass keith (kslb) so much for lifts on his trailler. (A big thanks to him for his help so far)

I might be taking it to a different place that can have a look sooner.
