Dave_SZ-R
most ive looked at recon 30+mpg Drove my bosses old 3.0 manual one, didn't really like it tbh. Felt less 'rolly' than I expected through the corners. Couldnt comment on mpg.

johnny g
I had a 3.0ltr diesel auto one, on an 02 plate. Returned 31mpg doing a motorway trip at 80-85 leptons. Non-HID headlight equipped cars suffer from headlights blowing occasionally. Retrofitting a HID kit will cure this. Check the alignment on the Sport models as the alignment is sensitive for tyre wear. That aside, I loved mine and am considering another one once the 5 series is due a swap. RedM
I owned one once. The driver couldn't wait to try and pass me on a DCW. 2JZ showed him.

Big Mark
It's one of only a few 4x4's I like. I've known 2 people with them. One got one of the 1st 4.6is brand new but got rid of it pretty sharpish as he was getting single figure fuel economy and the other got a used 3.0d sport. Gearbox had to be replaced a couple of years later, not cheap.
