RoyBoy7
hi guys . Need some advise . Im looking at buying an aerotop. However a few of the cars I have seen have damp carpet in the passengers footwell. Is this a common problem and is it an expensive fix. cheers roy
JustGav
Do a search for heater matrix It could very well be the matrix has gone pop. It is a fairly expensive job if taken to a garage, however the actual parts aren't too bad.
supspower
Most likely be a heater matrix and if they say o i spilt some water check the heaters get really warm when the cars started and warmed up if not then matrix is gone but as gav said seach for heater matrix on here give you a better understanding
Nic
As said it'll either be the heater matrix that is leaking (expensive to fix), or it could be the door/window seal that is leaking, which will allow water inside the door which will then leak out through the bottom of the inner door card, check if the bottom of the door card is wet. Jake
It could be just that the aerotop roof is leaking. Check if the liquid is coolant. If you can't tell by looking/smelling then taste it; coolant tastes sweet. If it's coolant then it's a fair bet the heater matrix has gone and the car is worth lots less.
