Chris Wilson
Anyone come across SSR wheel rims here in the UK?
caseys
Check Jurgen, he supplied me with some SSR G269 wheels a couple of years ago. I can't find the thread but they were on my old car when sold. Jay_VR6 then sold them on. I think there's something wrong with the archives (or we don't archive anything) as if you google SSR G269 wheels the thread comes up as the top hit... but I can't get to it.w

Chris Wilson
Picked up the rims with new wets on for the Lola, they are magnesium centre 3 piece centre lock rims, and a very nice quality, was wondering if there was info on these? Mag centres, rolled lip outer ally rims, plain rim inners. They have Jap language stickers on them probably originated from the Formula Nippon championship in Japan. bondango
Chris, (Speed star racing) SSR where one of the competition wheel suppliers in japan in the late 70's 80's and early 90's. Theres a great bit of history on SSR online somewhere, they pioneered alloy wheel design and processing techniques. Think they created the 1st 3 piece alloy wheel in the early 70's. http://fndc.hp.infoseek.co.jp/1992JF3000.htm If you look here at the F3000 entries for 1992 in japan, you will see a Lola t91/92-50 (non coswrth powered?) that ran SSR wheels under team name Speed star wheel company racing (SSR as second sponsor) EDIT SSR had a T91-50 and a T92-50 chassis, both running Mugen MF308's tuned by Ogawa
Supragal
I had SSR Decoltes, have to say I had no issues with them at all, other than how much the rubber cost!
