Hrenowsky
I found this forum some time ago, just never really needed to register, since i don't actually own a supra (yet:d). Well... Till recently i wasn't such a big fan of jap cars, till my mate bought a supra in the UK (jap spec). At first i was a little skeptic, but when i drove it for the first time it was unbelievable, it completely won me over. It's only a n/a but it's still the best thing i've driven up to now. So anyway, since i've been searching for some tips and tricks (particularly the refurbishment of the headlamps) for his supra, this forum was a big help. I'm hoping that i'll soon be a proud owner and club member, i just need to loose (sell) my f-ing megane convertible (since owning a renault i began despising the french) which could take at best two months (till the weather clears and temperatures rise). Till then i'll just read the guides I apologize for any misspells or wrong expressions as i'm not used to writing in English.

Hrenowsky
Thank you, for the warm welcome! Since the weather here cleared up, i think i'll be able to get rid of my old car in a month or two, hooray!. So i'd best start an early search for a supra. Since it'll be a car for everyday use, i'm thinking of a (cheaper) N/A, because i do a lot of city miles. The colour doesen't matter, just as long as it ain't silver:p. I'd prefer to have an aero-top, but they can be very pricey and i'm limited to about £3300. So if anyone thinks of selling theirs in the near future, please do send me a PM. That's it for now, updates when i sell my car. Cheers!
Hrenowsky
Well, today my old megane found a new home. So i'm going to start looking for a supra. My budget is a bit lower than anticipated (around £3000-£3200max) as i have to consider an extra £400 for transport via truck. I hope i'll soon find one and become a full-time member of the club:D

Bobbeh
Hi welcome to the boards, I went to Slovenia last year for a day visit (went to visit the Predjama Castle and the Caves near by), nice part of the world with some VERY empty roads
Hrenowsky
Tnx again for the warm welcome. Yeah, the sz-r looks very nice plus it's a face-lift But i'll wait till sometime next week, when hopefully they get a white n/a with a trd bodykit (been mailing them for the past four days for more details and pics), then i'll make up my mind @Bobbeh: Yeah that castle and caves are nice. As for the roads, they are pretty empty most of the time (depending on where you are), but they're mostly in bad or very bad condition. In fact, there was a study made not so long ago, about our roads in which 33% were marked as good, 26% below average, 25% needing repairs and 16% totally f*****
AndrewOW
Hello and welcome. By your written English, I thought that you were an Englishman living in Slovenia! Very good! Good luck on your search.

Hrenowsky
Another question. Today i just got some pictures of the two supras i'm interested in and they're pretty different. Well i know one is a 1993 sz (white) and i have no interior pic, but the other one is the facelift 1997 sz-r and it has a mechanical odometer (my mates 1996 jdm sz has a digital one). And also between the two (in the engine bays) there seem to be some things missing in the white one (i know the facelift has a vvti engine but still). Here are the pics http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/5117/picture015w.th.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/3712/picture014iir.th.jpg http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/6992/picture013zsp.th.jpg
Bobbeh
We drove in from Trieste, Italy, I think they were toll roads too, which probably explains why they were so nice.. I did think about how nice it would be to have the Supra there But yeah, off the nice roads they were very worn heh.
Hrenowsky
Been searching around and found that facelifts have mechanical odo's, and that the vvti versions are all digital. Which means that the one i'm interested in isn't a vvti (but i still think it has some extra stuff more than the white one). Is it possible to convert a mechanical odo to a digital? Are there any big advantages in a n/a with vvti over a one without? @Bobbeh They were toll roads (the old roads are much more f****). And as of last year our government decided that we need vignettes, to increase the road budget. Not that they're going to fix the roads or anything like that:d
Hrenowsky
I've been quiet for some time, but today she came. My supra, that is Yay, me thinks, when going to pick her up at the transport company. But when i got there, lets just say that words cannot express my feelings at that time:(. First a introduction (as in the advert from platinum autos) : Toyota Supra N/A 'Polar White' (1993) AUTOMATIC Finished in Polar White Full TED Bodykit (i think he ment trd) 2 Piece Deep Dish Alloy Wheels 3Inch staniless Steel Exhaust Full Years MOT VGC Throughout (i'll get to this later) Pics: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/5892/10302254.th.jpg http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/2127/10302255.th.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6578/10302253.th.jpg http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/235/10302252.th.jpg http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7818/10302251.th.jpg http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/5117/picture015w.th.jpg
Hrenowsky
And now for the bad bit. Ok, the outside is a bit poor (paint spray marks on a fair amount of the window seals), and could do with a bit of touching-up, if not a full repaint. The interior is in desperate need of TLC as bits are broken, bits are missing, the center trim around the radio has 2-3millimeters sawn off on each side, the passenger's seat has a spill mark and the whole interior smells funny (burnt electrics, clutch - but its a auto? or from cigarettes). But do like the pink hello-kitty mats, joke:d The car sits on 18" deep-dish ray's engineering, but they're 2 piece and they leak, tires are fairly good though. And now for the technical part. The car has the following warning lights on battery, cat temp and the next yellow symbol of a car. From what i've gathered, my alternator doesn't work (will check that tomorrow with a a multimeter) as the car died withe the battery in approx. 25km. The next light i think is on because of the horrific 3" aftermarket exhaust (long 3" tube from the manifold to the rear muffler). Haven't got a clue what's the third light. When we got it running again, it had a very low idle about 300rmp and with the brake off, it didn't even move (forgot to tell it's an auto), and i got the feeling it will stall at any moment. Oh yes and the servo is a bit hard. Pics will follow! Hope i wasn't too long.

Hrenowsky
Been busy putting her together, starting with the refurbishment of the headlights (which look great), a small reconstruction of the radio compartment on the dash (had no radio mounts to screw the radio in and the dash was a bit sawed-off). I'm just starting to paint the dash white, but i have a whole lot of work left. And i really need to replace that cannon of an exhaust Here are some pics: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/1/img5583o.th.jpg http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2479/img5580q.th.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/2107/img5578.th.jpg http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/4181/img5577b.th.jpg http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/4390/img5574.th.jpg P.S.: I promise to sort out my membership sometime next month:D
