far
amid the G20 protests etc and in the concrete jungle that is London stands a small company called AIG who my wife works for. Yesterday they were given orders to wear casual clothing incase they get targetted by terrorists/protestors etc LOL ....which I found hilarious, its not as if they all wear AIG uniforms to work This 'thought leadership' comes from one of the worlds biggest financial institutions - no wonder we are up sh1t creak
edd_t
same here, we have been told to wear casuals. thing is i'd prefer my work cloths to get ruined, rather than my 'smart casual'. i should have come to work in my oily working under car gear, i wouldnt mind that getting ruined, but i dont think work would be too happy

hogmaw
My neighbour works in the city and she has been asked to wear "smart casual" too. I think it might be a good idea to quickly go out and buy some Pringle and Lyle & Scott shares.
ozz
Ironically I'm working in London this week and for the first time ever today I dressed smart for work. Was told by a couple of people when I got to work that I shouldn't have done. I normaly wear trainers, shirt and casual trousers but felt like making an effort today. D'oh.
