caseys
City-link http://www.city-link.co.uk They take up to 2.5m. Handy when you post surfboards. Volumetric weight will be applied where the volume of any single parcel exceeds 6,000 cubic centimetres per kilo. So as long as you're not posting a box of air you should be fine

Burna
Try these http://www.palletways.com/
jevansio
Cheers guys, Citylink won't do adhoc personal shipments, Palletways is looking at £88 as it'll need 2 pallets (which is roughly the same as a courier). One possibility I have is a guy called PornStarRacing has pm'd me saying he has some seats which I could collect, it works out quite nice as I could drop this off & collect the seats. I'm just hoping with a name like that & signing up on April Fools day it isn't someone having a prank

jevansio
Try www.interparcel.com £88 + VAT for these I just posted a doluck nosecone (1.8mX75X50 @ 10kg) for £34+vat picked up from the house with Fedex if that helps. Hey mate, do you have a company account or did you ship as a private adhoc shipment? Did you just phone them up? Did you lie about the dimensions on the phone and hope they'd not notice? Did you lie about the dimensions on the phone and hope they'd not notice? Yeah I have an account with them, didn't think about that. Although I have been told that if you use a third party provider (like confused.com for insurance, there are similar companies for courier services) you get the same price as an account holder. I didn't lie about the size either, they will take anything up to 3m's.

jevansio
Cheers Tom, I got it sorted, I think the problem is that it was 1.8m long, no couriers will take that sort of package for a reasonable amount

caseys
to bump an old thread, does anyone know of a good courier to be able to transport a rollcage with? Someone's bought one off me on eBay and now asking for a courier even though I said 50p/mile delivered by my friend on a trailer or collection. 241 miles away he lives so I assume he doesn't want to pay the £241 for the round trip I'd have to make.. johnny g
Try Shiply - people bid for work, like eBay.
