terribleturner
That's just stupid banning tinted visors. So what do they suggest? We wear sun glasses under our lids that can not be flipped up or removed from our direct vision quickly. F'ing idiots the lot of them. #4061
BigRoy
I know it takes the piss! I got pulled about 5 times last summer for a dark visor. I allways ask the reason for being pulled unless its obvious like wheelies at 90:D They allways say its because of your illegal visor mate and then give you an hour lecture on safe riding FFS, followed by a £30 fine:( The difference between a tinted visor and sunglasses baffles me? Apparently the powers that be like to see your face:D

Steviekid
Voted too. Riding when suns low without a dark visor can be just plain dangerous. I once got caught out and had to tailgate a lorry in front of me just so i could see the road surface without being blinded.

tbourner
It's probably so they can prove in court who was riding by showing a picture from a camera!!!
BigRoy
The reasoning behind it is that the DfT reckons we wear them just to look "cool"

terribleturner
Pulled for a tinted visor? That just takes the piss. Next thing will be no wearing sunglasses at all, riding or driving.
martynb
The reasoning behind it is that the DfT reckons we wear them just to look "cool" not like iridium visors then
BigRoy
What is it with iridium and gixer owners? Must be the genes!
matt
I tried on one of those lids with an inner flippy dark visor (see pic)at the weekend. Might go back and buy one. I got a lecture recently despite it being the brightest day of the year so far:( and carrying a clear relacement in case I stayed out later than planned. Oh ..... I voted too
Pete
I reckon they're banning the wrong thing. I say go to the root of the source and ban racing style motorbikes! They're machines for mad men who won't stop until they loose a limb or their lives. You should all be made to ride choppers.
