dani_r
Hi guys, I'm after a good product for removing light scratches from my rear bumper and the odd one or two that have appeared on my door after my dog decided to jump against it! (not impressed). Just wondering what other people use and have had the best results from Cheers Dan
Stan
If applying by hand, then meguiars ScratchX is what I've found best (use on a MF towel to give it more 'bite') If machine polishing, I tend to favour poorboys SSR range but will happily use Chemical Guys polishes as well
3LL
bit of good old fashioned t cut works wonders too. if its deep though chances are your not going to be able to polish it out im afraid to say.
peter richards
if you can feel it with your finger nail it wont polish out , be careful just concentrating on the one area as it will affect the look of the rest of the panel and by hand its hard to keep a constant pressure so it becomes patchy . the best way to improve it is to wet sand the area then machine the whole panel
SUPRALOOPY
40 grit? ........ Ok please don't do that. as above really.
dani_r
Cheers guys I've heard of the meguires stuff before and think i might give that a go. It's all be by hand so hopefully i'll do a good job, I do have a machine polisher too, do you think that would give a better result? Anyone know the best (and cheapest) place to buy their stuff? I might as well get some proper polish too whilst I'm at it!
