iaintslow
New valve seals, just install single and still smokes. Car only puffs oil smoke when warms up and only when i tap the gas after idleing, doesnt smoke when i drive, only when i rev it after idleing, if i keep reving it it doesnt smoke. I already tryed oil restrictor on the turbo and still the same. Edited March 28, 2009 by iaintslow (see edit history)

iaintslow
blow by??? Rings? wouldnt it be smoking all the time? and on boost specially?
JDModified
As a norm yes mate, although Ive seen engines that seal some blow by with higher cylinder pressure ie revs, in addition a higher ratio of exhaust gas per ml of oil leakage can be very hard to see. Worth a leak test to be sure. Just an option chap. James
adnanshah247
Rings? wouldnt it be smoking all the time? and on boost specially? might sound stupid but oil couldnt have leaked into your exhaust could it? actually not stupid! when i had my engine changed a year ago, when taking everything apart some oil had leaked down the manifold or something and it smoked like that, eventually it burnt off and disappeared totally.
