error code 89?

Hey guys sorry if im being a numpty, just followed the error code section ( bridged E1 and TE1) and my O/D off light flashes 8 and then 9 times which i believe is 89 what does this mean, or am I doing it wrong?:search:

 

Also, the Red Square with the warning triangle is constantly on even when im driving around is this the MID light?

its a traction control fault matey. Remove your stepper motor, clean it and refit it. Them undo the screws that hold your SUB throttle pos sensor (dont fully remove them just loosen them) lift the sensor to the highest position you possibly can, reset your ECU and hay presto no more faults.

Sorry to revive this thread guys, but I've been trying to fix this problem for over a year. I originally got code 42 so tried the splice trick first with no luck and then replaced the no.2 speed sensor on the gearbox. Still no luck... But now my o/d is throwing code 89.

 

Just wondering if the above sorted the problem? Or if someone has had the same issue and sorted it?
