hadyn
Is it worth removing the headlight if you have a aftermarket cone air filter fitted to your car for drag-racing? Will the car actually make more power/better cooling? Or will the aerodynamics be screwed up with the headlight out? Car is fairly stock
tooquicktostop
I would say no point on a BPU/Stock car, they stock system is actually very good and feeding air to the right places, it does help with a big single, that benifits from a lot of forced cool air coming into the engine bay on the drivers side

I have a cone filter with the two stock air feeds still in position
Scott
I would say no, if you wanted a good benefit you would be better with a modified headlight to have the hole through it. My reason for thinking this is if you take out the headlight you will ruin the aerodynamics of the car. The wind resistance will skyrocket. With BPU it would probably cancel out any gains you would get from the cold air. However, if you only make a hole in the headlight, you will get the advantage with the cold air while only causing a bit more resistance. I think (despite having no scientific knowledge about this) I would agree with you mate.

bigbloodyturbo
Why don't you try making an airbox for your filter and a cold air feed to a high pressure area in the car or somewhere with you can get a ram-air effect, might not give you much power but the reduction in vacuum in the induction system could offset the obstruction caused by your filter. NeoFuture
the lights are needed for aero dynamics, if you take em out you will cause an air lock and cause issues with the lines of the car, unless you intend to use dummy lights ?
ChrisB
I tried it when i was doing lots of drag racing time was the same within .01 second (slower) so not really worth it in bpu

Pete
I've heard it'll give you an extra 75 bhp! (but only if you do the resister trick)
