caseys
Hi everyone, My hosing to my fuel rail looks like it's perishing. Can anyone tell me what type of hosing I should replace it with? Should I just go to Mr.T tomorrow and buy a standard OEM replacement? Cheers, Si
RobSheffield
If you are running stock fuel system then yes
caseys
If you are running stock fuel system then yes Stock fuel system, but I have a FPR fitted by previous owner, it's the line from the FPR to the fuel rail feed, so I assume it's now not standard length. I should just be able to cut it shouldn't I?
RobSheffield
Should be Fuel return to FPR....
caseys
Should be Fuel return to FPR.... that'll be it I get confused easily! Hence all my questions in the technical section
RobSheffield
Is it a braided line? Might be easier if you post up some pics
caseys
One moment caller.. I apologise, I'm still learning. Maybe I just meant fuel pressure gauge! This line runs down into the fuel rail, the black one there with the cable tie around it, other end has a fuel pressure gauge on it as seen with the white gauge on the right hand side near the end on the 2nd pic. The hose goes into the left hand side there (9 o'clock) on the gauge.
RobSheffield
So its the black hose? Looks like a cover, what with the tie wrap round it. The guage appears to be on an FPR> Any idea of the FPR make? Any names on the block?

I've got no smell of fuel, fuel pressure's fine and AFR is showing fine too. I don't think I've got a problem yet but I think I need to replace this hose ASAP? caseys
Went to Toyota on Saturday, the person there had no idea what part number it was and couldn't even find it. I may be resorting to go to a shop tonight and buy some generic hosing as a temporary measure until I get a proper one sorted. Can anyone tell me the correct internal diameter? brianwe
Just done the same thing myself, but added a generic fpr it really has smoothed out the trottle to the car, made it a tad quicker on the uptake too! Nice! But the stuff I bought was 1 metre of double braided and stainless outer braid fuel line with a 8mm internal diameter, you should find that works fine, wont wear or rot and easy enough to run round the back end of your inlet manifold, or over by your baulkhead. Hope that helps, try some of the performance stores on ebay too, they might come up trumps! All the best mate Brianwe
caseys
Got some stock 9.5mm internal diameter hosing for now and replaced. Am sourcing new hosing and some good fittings, just got to be light enough for me to measure thread/size of the pipe to the FPR!
