Ibrar Jabbar
The cars crying out for a nice new set of wheels Colin I have had all the previous generations of Celica's GT4's and GT's. What am i likely to need for this little beauty? It hasnt been registered in the UK before so will I need a de-limiter? Obviously will want a MPH convertor jobby. Anything else you can think of? Chiefgroover
You could always trade it for a 98 import GT model with the very torquey 200bhp beams engine, and superstruts, with improved headlight reflectors that look very cool. Your Celica should handle brilliant, if it doesn't something is wrong (tyres, alignment, camber etc) totally predictable on even the worst roads. The above car with light tuning e.g. 230bhp weighing in @ appox 1320kg would "eat the arse" of a standard Jap tt on a twisty road where handling was at least as important as speed. I've seen it done, Supra oversteering, Celica (beams) pulling away. A car not to be under estimated, especially in the wet. p.s. I am a happy Supra owner, in case you are wondering. CJ
Thanks for all the comments and advice guys. I am not looking to spend too much money on this one as I only want it as my daily driver to keep the mileage down on the Tangomobile. In saying that, I am sure I will look to up the performance a little once I settle it in. I almost bought a GT4 as they too were going for not a lot of money - but kept my sensible head on and went for the Black Beauty
