CJ
I am looking at a cheap Celica SS2 Auto import (1993) to use as a runaround. Does anyone have any experience of owning one of these? Any major problems?

hogmaw
I had a 1995 manual import. As you would expect from Toyota they just do NOT break down and super reliable! Nippy little thing it was, at least that's what I thought until I bought the Supra!
toyotasuprauk
I had a 1990 GT UK manual the model with the pop up headlights for a few years, 166,000 miles when I sold it and it was totally reliable never had a problem. Feels light compared to the Supra, I used to think it fairly quick and nippy, 28 MPG nice run abouts.

Chiefgroover
I have owned 2 gt's and 2 gt4's. They are bulletproof, never let me down, only things that seem to wear outside normal service parts are rear anti roll bar bushings, if they are driven hard. Enjoy it!.
