Think they may have a re-think for next season after the poor visibility last week and the weather this week..... I still set my alarm to get up and watch it live no matter the time anyway

Like 8am or something, and then show the race late night in Europe?

SupraStar 3000
does anyone else think F1 is over complicated? The FIA is a joke! Just race or red flag the race give everyone full points! What the hell is a half point? At the end of this championship I really dont want to see the trophy awarded to a driver with half a point over someone else. Guest willismaximus
And what are they on about looking at restarting and having everyone from P4 running a minute and a hlf behind the top three???? I think they're just making up rules today:rolleyes:

imi
Hamilton's team lied to him and said he was 5th, fpmsl, they just can't get anything right. Yes, didnt quite understand where they got 5th from, he was showing 6th on he board before they calculated the final positions at the end of the last complete lap which was then 7th for hamilton. Great race......still not sure what a half point is either......Perhaps there to try and make sure that the teams dont run away from Ferrari.... Poor Guy am I 5th or 7th? jamesmark
Because the race did not reach the 75% mark, half points are awarded. Simples.
imi
Because the race did not reach the 75% mark, half points are awarded. Simples. Think we all understand that, question is why not offer the full points regardless of the race distance?
AndrewOW
Think we all understand that, question is why not offer the full points regardless of the race distance? I think it's because they can, and just like to look clever to the rest of us. It's not impressing me in any way though!
caseys
Think we all understand that, question is why not offer the full points regardless of the race distance? As your car nor driver is doing 100% race distance. For instance a frail car if they knew the weather would stop the race... or if they were racing and with 2 minutes left they could turn up the revs on the engine (still within the 18k rev limit).. knowing the engine will last for two more laps and the race will be stopped before that. The rain was quite torrential. I think it's the longevity and endurance issue. It's only ever happened 5 times in 58 years. You wouldn't expect someone to get the full ten points for a ten lap race... then the next race Driver X has to race 78 laps somewhere else for ten points. Last time I saw a race go to 2 hours without being abandoned or red flagged was Monaco in the wet.
