Branners
I really enjoyed that race, and found the CBBC commentary to be great fun. I will use that option again. I dont know if anybody watches Le Mans but it was similar to that, they talked around the subject and only piped up when something happened. They had Perry Mcarthy as their technical guy and just had a laugh.
tbourner
Excellent race, very exciting for the first 10 laps or so. That new bloke Kobayashi should be sacked for those weaving manoeuvres - he was pulling them all over the place in front of different people!! Brave for his first race though he certainly wanted to impress. Also, was it KR who got flame grilled? How bleedin scary would that have been!! Thorin
Well I never got chance to see the race... or the highlights. But well done to Team Brawn and Jenson
steady_dave
Congrats to Jenson, but also to Hamilton, up 14 places due to some amazing driving and a clever last minute strategy change by the team. Back to back british champs, woohoo! Also cannot wait to see the new Abu Dhabi track with it's crazy underground Pit Lane!
tbourner
Abu Dhabi looks interesting, you wouldn't want to get a drive through penalty though!! ikvjwBEYk50 Also doesn't look like there's much of a pit exit lane, so pit exiters will cut straight across in front of drivers in the race. I don't think I like all the flat kerbs with flat track on the other side either, could be a lot of people penalised for going off circuit. Those red and white kerbs are pretty aggressive though, you wouldn't want to be using too much of them for fear of taking the bottom of the car off. tbourner
They do go over the kerbs a lot though don't they? It's hard to see from that vid just how high they are.
caseys
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8322393.stm Todt announced FIA president. Quite surprised at the Button to McLaren rumours too.
tbourner
And Mercedes dropping out of backing McLaren and are replacing Virgin as backing for Brawn? So a Button/Hami double team could be on the cards - that'd be interesting!!
imi
Will he stay or will he go what do you guys reckon, will he stay at brawn (possibly a bigger stake for Mercedes and maybe even a mercedes team) or leave for a potentially quicker McLaren. Dnk
Personally i think JB should stay with the team that got him to his championship, if its just down to more money which he doesnt need then i'd be unimpressed if i was Brawn and he left for a bigger payday. If he'd been in a McLaren this year he wouldnt have won the title.

johnny g
Stay at Brawn - he knows them, they know him. If he goes, he'd play second fiddle to Lewis - even though McLaren don't operate team orders...

Hobgoblin
A shame that. I think historically they could have done better, had they not serially re-employed lousy drivers. Ie Trulli and Ralph.

michael
He'd be good in the BTCC He'd blend in too well, F1 needs characters like him, people who aren't afraid to race a bit, people who fight back instead of waiting for the next pit stop.
