RedM
Blimey! Just read this quote from Martin Whitmarsh. "Today we were clearly dominant. From lap 20 Lewis was saying, 'shout me the lap time you want me to do and I'll do it, this is easy'. He was in great form, and that happens when you're in the groove." That's a hell of a turnaround in favour of McLaren.
Professor Kenny
Great result from Lewis and the team, good to see a bit of form back with them again. The next race will be interesting. On that note: Renault suspended from next race: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8169649.stm Knew jerk reaction to the recent events? I think so. Even though it was pretty stupid of them not to tell Fernando they knew there was a problem. I was thinking it's a knee jerk reaction, but also: how do the FIA know or prove that Renault knew that Alonso's wheel wasn't fixed on properly? And taking that a step further, if the mechanics knew that the wheel wasn't on properly, shouldn't they be sacked? That could have been unbelievably dangerous! The last 2 fatalities in F1 have been Marshals killed by flying wheels... O_o
Pot
Knew jerk reaction to the recent events? I think so. Me too, however I'm guessing it's their quick way of showing something's being done? I dunno :S - However I think the main issue is that they didn't tell Eyebrows about the problem with his car, why? I can't guess... However, I'm hoping Massa has a speedy recovery, and I'm hoping the story about Schumacher (link below) doesn't happen, and they let one of the test drivers have a go, and get their skills up... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/formulaone/ferrari/5912142/Hungarian-Grand-Prix-Michael-Schumacher-backed-to-stand-in-for-Felipe-Massa.html PS - Fantastic news for Lewis, I'm over the moon about it
ivan
So how come Kimi didn't get a drive-through like Webber did? That's two Ferrari incidents in two races that have been "to be investigated after the race".

hiten55
I'd like to see MS back to race against Hammi, would be interesting! never gonna happen though.... Ferrari are too skint this season (what with secretly funding todts campaign and not winning any races) to be able to afford him...
Alex
Quite enjoyed that one, rather exciting as far as F1 goes. Great race by Lewis, shame he lost his head two weeks ago as his car seems transformed. That footage of Massa's incident during the introduction was scary, wishing him all the best. Erm, lost his head? His rear tyre was punctured by Webbers front wing, that was Webbers fault as Lewis was in front. Though it's chalked up as a racing accident. But this week, all good - McLaren need some serious praise for turning that car around. And Heikki needs a boot up his bum, I think Nico R will replace Heikki next year and Nico Hulkenberg (current GP2 leader) will replace Nico R at Williams. As for the BGP001...they seem to have gone down the wrong development rabbit hole as the car is being ruined race by race Williams were again 4th, NR deserves a podium for his efforts this year. Kazuki needs to learn how to attack - he seems unable to maintain consistant speed.
Alex
MS will not replace Massa....that scenario is as likely as Rossi jumping in. If, as likely, Massa is out for the next few months, if not the season then I expect either a GP2 driver, Test driver or Alonso to drive... The latter would only happen if Renault were significantly compensated, FA HAS a deal for 2010 and Renault/Flav wanted to bring in his GP2 charges (Grosjean and de Grassi) as Piquet is going in the break. In short it's highly unlikely that Renault would release FA...

Be weird to see him in the ferrari. who is ferrari's offical test driver? Isn't it Luca Badoer? Then again Schumi is still a consultant for them... Looks like Massa has an eye injury http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8169915.stm If he's only got the use of one eye - which doesn't help you judge distances this could be career ending. At 28 let's hope it's not.
jamesmark
Well the latest in the world of speculation is Schumacher would consider driving for Ferrari according to his spokeswomen, but MS Manager insisting he will not be driving as the expectations would be too high. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8172310.stm Foot of the page has more likely candidates that could be asked. caseys
Their target was to win within 3 years though and they didn't achieve that. Wonder if there will be anyone buying out the resources, facilities, people etc. Isn't their engine record pretty good though? Couldn't they at least continue as a supplier? Bet Heidfeld is bricking it though. I can see Kubica being resigned to someone else, but not him.
johnny g
Maybe - don't forget, Kubica only really came to the fore last season. Before that, Heidfeld was Captain Consistent. This season, I think quick Nick has had the upper hand.
juanchan
Just heard from a mate who works in F1 that Schumacher has agreed to stand in for Massa for the rest of the season. I can't find any offical releases on the net yet though.
