hodge
Hey guys Bit of a hickup with the single build if you can call it that lol. Any ideas on the following. Ive done a single build and and ive just fitted the EMU now the car wont start. It started 1st turn before I fitted the EMU and left the 440cc injectors in. Ive done all the required setup bits such as setting injector size and setting the air map to 0.0. The car fires but wont tick over and dies straight away. My ECU is registering an error code of 14 (ignition curcuit fault). There are no error codes from the EMU. I have noticed a small fuel leak from injector 6 (injector nearest the bulk head and fuel feed). Am I right in thinking that the car wont tick over because the fuel system has a small leak so isnt pressurised or could it be down to the error code. Im sure ive had this fault before and the car has still ran. it turned out to be the coil pack connectors last time so i replaced them all. Cheers in advance folks John

Tricky-Ricky
What it your spec? IE what size injectors have you changed from and to? could be down to lag times, in theory it should work with them set to 0.00 but its not always the best way. Also have you wired it to add and remove fuel, and have you set the unit to account for this?
hodge
ive set the lag time at 0.0. Im running 800cc hi-impetance injectors. All i need to do is get it fired up so i no theres no issues etc. Ian c is sorting me out a base map for my setup just need some pointers To get it started really. Im gona sort the fuel leak and investigate the code 14 today and see where we go from there. Ive got a feeling its gona start once the fuel system is totally pressurised. Well i hope so anyways. hodge
The fuel leak is sorted but it still wont start. I think the combination of the 800cc injectors and the veilside manifold with 90mm throttle body have thrown the EMU a little so the injector offset wont work.. Im yet to find the ignition fault though. Guess im waiting for the base map from Ian C before its gona run...... Has anyone had an error code 14 after they fitted an emanage. If so could you give me somewhere to start. cheers chaps and chapetts
Tricky-Ricky
I'm sure i have had the 14 error before its common, what are your settings in the set up menu? have you inputted the old and new injector sizes in the global correction panel correctly? hodge
Yep. The before I set at 440cc and the after is set at 800cc. Ive tried a few veriations of this and get a slightly better start but then cuts out straight away. i just dont think the EMU can cope with the intake and throttle body before its mapped. Tricky-Ricky
Have you tried adding or removing fuel around idle RPM? also have you checked that the larger throttle body is fully closed ? if its letting air into the plenum its likely to interfere with the idle control valve. Ian C
I've bunged him a base map, see if that helps. It might be a jumper config issue or something set in the car details that's wrong.
