garetheves
Ok off on holiday for 3 weeks and need to refresh my ipod a bit. I normally recommend a lot of music on hear but a skim through my track list is turning blanks in terms of inspiration at the moment so i turn to you guys. I am literally open to anything at the moment (apart from Dance and Drum n Base) but my favourite genre is Rock/Metal. New releases or old classics, current favourites or stuff youve re-found recently and wiped the dust off. Ill see if any suggestions tickle my fancy

(has an amazing guitar solo about 3mins in) fighstar - mono (chilled out at the start then after about 4mins all comes alive) Not a massive tbh, cant get away from the "Busted" background and his voice grates on me a bit. Cheers for the suggestion though.
TTRickeh
fightstar - cross out all the stars. (has an amazing guitar solo about 3mins in) fighstar - mono (chilled out at the start then after about 4mins all comes alive) Wooo someone else likes Fightstar Not a massive tbh, cant get away from the "Busted" background and his voice grates on me a bit. Cheers for the suggestion though. He's not the only singer, the other one has a pretty good voice. Dark Star and Shinji Ikari are pretty good from the acoustic album with minimal Charlie. Worth a bash. How about some Audioslave?
Havard
so far away iirc You want to get on youtube and look for "It's been a while", "Zoe Jane" and "Pardon Me". These are all ballads but some of the heavier stuff is fantastic...!! H.
chris2o2
Protest the hero - Fortress Lamb of God - Wrath Shinedown - Sound of madness Rise Against - Appeal to reason Hinder - Extreme Behaviour Anberlin - Never take friendship personal Brand New - Deja Entendu
RedM
Propagandhi have a new record out. It's called Supporting Caste and is full of catchy, highly political and yet very tuneful thrashy punk. If you fancy something a little more chilled then I can highly recommend singer/songwriter M Ward. Kind of folky, poppy and country with interesting lyrics. Start with his record, Transistor Radio. Ian W
Good call on the Audioslave. What about some Pearl Jam, RATM, QOTSA, FFAF, 30 Seconds to Mars, AC/DC, Nirvana or a wild card in Rammstein?
Animal
I'm not overly struck by 'Wrath'; it's not a patch on 'Ashes of the Wake'. Currently I'm loving the new Cannibal Corpse album 'Evisceration Plague', but that's probably a bit too heavy. Onslaught 'Killing Peace' has been getting a lot of play as well. It's kind of like 90's Slayer. As has Slipknot 'All Hope Is Gone' The new Saxon album is pretty good. Candlemass 'Ancient Dreams' & 'Nightfall' are good, doomy albums. Dream Theater 'Systematic Chaos' Children Of Bodom Evile Motley Crue (up to early 90's) Twisted Sister Dio 'Holy Diver' Grip Inc. Sodom 'M16' Overkill Queensryche 'Operation Mindcrime' & 'Empire' Shadows Fall Symphony X Bathory 'Nordland' Arch Enemy

PJ are re-releasing Ten this year arent they as well, with some extra tracks. will be getting that when its out. Got 20 seconds on there already. If im honest ive never been a fan of Nirvana, 1 or 2 of th released tracks i liked but could never listen to the full album. Rage, now theres an idea. Got FFAF on there and all the ACDc albums. Think ive only got one Rammstein album and never gave it much listening so thats not a bad idea either

Not been a huge fan of Nirvana but the MTV Live album is great for chilling / committing suicide to whichever way you look at it.

Children Of Bodom are pretty good as well and just about in my "Heavy Range" Give Symphony X & Dream Theater a listen to if you like Shadows Fall - they're in a similar heavy prog metal style. Dream Theater go from proper ballady stuff to quite thrashy. How about Trivium, too.

I have tried Dream Theater before and struggled to enjoy if im honest, some of the stuff seemed good but then they went abit too "ballady" (which i dont normally mind but couldnt get into them). Ill try Symphony X a go though. Trivium never leave my ipod your all wrong what you want is some pendulum! oviously there new stuff. the tempest propane nightmares slam show down the list continues Funny you should mention that, although i dont like D&B the 2 main songs Pendulum have released (Slam and Propain nightmares) i do really like, so did download the albums for those songs and have put them on ipod Younger days? You're nowt but a slip of a lad now! I feel old. Knocking on a bit now me mate, 27 this year
