DODGYDODDS
Well my car has been broke for over a year, i have saved up and now it is in the final stages of it's full rebuild ( pistons-rods-bearings) port polish and much more. last month i had the opertunity of buying a set of hybrids off a friend at a very good price, that had only covered 100 miles ( his car was shunted so stripped it down) I have a j-spec with 440cc injectors, hks type r fmic, double decat, stainless exhaust, uprated filter and hks ecu. greddy boost controller uprated plugs, basically bpu+++ The engine is out so fitting isnt going to be that much of an issue, i have scoured the board but any thread containing hybrids usually turn into a single/hybrid debate. What im asking is what would i have to do to run these at say 1.4 bar, im sure i would need bigger injectors, and that would need a remap i believe, problem is my ecu is unmapable as it is the HKS FCON V. Help and advice from anyone who has gone this route or has the knowledge i dont would be greatfully recieved:)
tooquicktostop
I would go with 550cc injectors to give you a bit more comfort, the 440's will be close to max at 1.4 bar on hybrids Your intercooler if more than good enough, is you fuel pump uprated at all ? The F Con V can be mapped you will need to go to an F con dealer to unlock it and get the fuelling sorted, without that you will never set up the car to run properly on the new turbo's and injectors and you dont want to loose another engine
DODGYDODDS
yes mate forgot to add that it has a 255lph walbro installed. From all my enquiries (im prob incorrect) i was told in this country only fcon v pro can be mapped, as the more basic fcon v is a unit that comes as is with just a base map. DODGYDODDS
Thanks michael, tha was the one i was looking at, if i had to make the jump, debating about leaving the hybrids off now, as tbh, may as well save and go the single route, as im not far from having the supporting mod needed. Just need the exchange rate to become more favourable.
