Jezz
I think the main thing here is that people deal with things in a different way. Making jokes about things, terrible or not, is all part of human nature, we're all wrong in the head at times! She died young, and left kids, but does anyone care? Sure they do, but for the most part people have their own problems to deal with. The part that makes it acceptable to make jokes is the fact that no one on here knew her. Sure, if it was someone we knew it wouldn't happen, it's common sense! This is just the way the world works. But I'm sure I don't need to tell you that, just my thoughts Spot on. Someone in the public eye dies, a percentage of the public will joke about it. Steve Irwin, he was a great guy, loved his work, did something with his life, people made jokes. Jade goody, she was a twot, didnt really do anything, people will make jokes. Life goes on.
Animal
Some of the posts on this forum do nothing for our group image and makes us all seem uncaring and sometimes very disrespectful of others. Well; I am. Mysanthropic, too, for the most part. Like I could give two shits about some uneducated tramp who did nothing but show the rest of the braindead herd that you could become rich (?) and famous for doing bugger all. The poster clearly didnt care if maybe some people here might have lost people in the event. As for Jade. Do i care any more or any less than i would if she was a normal person. No, however i respect her doing what she did for her kids. I just feel that some things are best left alone, not used as a subject to laugh about. TonyP
but its ok because none of you knew her right? Yes. That's exactly what it is. It's just a joke.

I'm sorry, but I must correct you there, she infact did a 10 page photo shoot for OK magazine and was the guest of honour at the grand opening of the newest Lidl in Slough. How dare you sir. extendor
I can cope with the jokes but I cant cope with the downright coldness of some of the sentiments. No matter who she was or what she did she was a fellow human being who suffered a terrible death and has left a husband and children behind. Leave aside any other considerations and put the boot on the other foot.
The Raven
She isn't the first celebrity to have jokes made about her on her death. She won't be the last. Is this the first celebrity death you've heard of? Maybe you've been living under a rock. Just expected better of this forum clearly i was wrong. You ok with the Hillsborough joke too? johnny g
People or events in the news make jokes - it's a fact of life, deal with it. Did you laugh at: - Michael Jackson paedo jokes? - Barrymore party jokes? - etc If you don't like it - don't read and don't comment. Simply ignore the thread... Animal
Just comes down to the fact she was in the paper alot, so makes her fair game? Yep. You live by the sword; you die by the sword. misanthropic huh, well i dont see you in other peoples threads about losing a pet? or god forbid someone close to them making jokes? Ooh, that depends on the pet & the circumstances. I reckon there are some good comedic pet deaths out there.
johnny g
i also refuse to touch or look at the sun newspaper. Surely the problem there lies with the editor or the whole publishing company? Kelvin McKenzie was the editor and Rupert Murdoch owned the publishing company, News International. Out of interest, do you have Sky?

johnny g
Yes i have sky, but its not against the whole company or a against one person, its against the paper that published the story. But, the editor who sanctioned the printing of the story, and the journalist who wrote it are no longer there, as far as I am aware - yet, the owners, News International, still are. They also have a controlling interest in Sky IIRC. Surely you'd not touch Sky as well, by that argument? Kelvin McKenzie was also involved with Sky at some point too. AndrewOW
So basically what we're saying here, is that if you become a vacuous talentless celebrity with no redeeming qualities and value, you will die of a cancer related illness? Jodie Marsh's days are numbered then! Maybe someone needs to get a tabloid newspaper to display that as a headline. I wonder then how many people will try to emulate the Goodymiester! Yes the owner started sky, but as i said its about the paper that published the story. Stratty
It has been stated that Goodybag made millions through the media leading up to her death. It was also stated that she wanted to ensure her kids didnt want for anything. Fair enough, however... how much of the money she made has been donated to cancer research.... johnny g
She whored out her last few weeks to the highest bidder and allowed her children to see her dying in the media. Ironically on Living TV. She was despised before the diagnosis - then suddenly canonised after an oncologist gave her a consult.
