The Raven
She whored out her last few weeks to the highest bidder and allowed her children to see her dying in the media. Ironically on Living TV. She was despised before the diagnosis - then suddenly canonised after an oncologist gave her a consult. Despised is a strong word, and should only be used when talking about the rapest child murders of this world, not someone from Big brother. Clearly she wasnt at all despised hence her millions of pounds and constant media coverage. The only possible thing you can hold aganst her is not donating anything to cancer funds. Doctors are now saying that the number of women attending smer tests has gone up, and they are talking about lowering the age of testing. Preventing others getting cancer by what ever means has to be a good thing?
extendor
I see lots of negatives written here about who she was and what she did. She did not do any real harm and I cant see any other reason why she would inspire so much hate other than jealousy. My God, I never thought I would be ever have to defend JG.. It's a good thing short term, but once the publicity has died down, the numbers will drop and people will check for the next fad. Hopefully I'm wrong. _Lynz_
I knew when I read this thread I would regret it and had the choice to not open it at all. I also know I will probably get ripped apart for this but I'm past caring. Everyone who goes into Big Brother does so to find fame, in any way shape or form. Jade was no different. She did not show herself in the best light in either of the big brother shows she was in, but she was young and we all make mistakes her's were just televised world wide. I have watched the programmes about her from before she got Cancer and I admire the girl. She's not the brightest girl but she managed to make a career after big brother and had a few successful businesses which made her the moneyshe had. No one deserves to die at 27 and leave 2 young children behind. I also don't blame her for making money whilst she was dying in order to look after her children, she knew that it was her fame that had got her into the position she was at financially and she wanted to make as much money for them as she could. But because her death has been so publicised more girls than ever are getting smear tests and this can only be a good thing. If one woman is saved because of Jade's death then that is something we should be grateful for. I don't think it's the sort of thing that should be joked about but as has been said it's what happens. merckx
I couldn't stand the woman. But some of the remarks made on here are so cold and callous, anyone would of thought she had been a serial murderer. Infact she was totally harmless, her main fault being stupidity, having a loud mouth with an outgoing personality. All I can think of now is a 27 year old young woman who was stricken with one of the most feared diseases, cancer. God only knows how she suffered towards the end. In my opinion it's something that isn't particularly humerous that you can laugh and joke about. Cancer Research UK chief executive Harpal Kumar said: "Her brave battle with an aggressive form of cervical cancer has received widespread public attention and encouraged thousands of women to seek advice on how to prevent the disease. "She has done a great public service by raising awareness of the importance of screening during her last few months of life." How many wives, girlfriends and sisters may now benefit from this raised awareness?

Al Massey
Regardless of this do you have no sympathy for a 27yr old dying from cancer leaving 2 young kids? Yes i have sympathy, for the way she died but i have no sympathy for the way she dragged her kids to hell and paraded them infront of the cameras. They now have to live the rest of their lives being able to watch their mum die horribly over and over again. But i still think the jokes are funny. RedM
Just expected better of this forum clearly i was wrong. You ok with the Hillsborough joke too? Not really but there have been jokes about other tragic events in the past and there will be again. RedM
I don't believe I require any respect TBH. I'm only here to do an unpaid and usually thankless task. As for behaving like a mod. We are all individuals. Some of us are more outspoken than others. If you don't like my attitude then please send a PM to a moderator of your choosing, highlighting your concerns. HTH. Charlotte
Just because of her doesnt mean that more people are getting screened I have three separate friends that have now been screened as a result of the headlines over the passed few months and I'm sure there are loads more around the country. The fact is, smears are horrible. They hurt and they're embarrassing and unpleasant. However just ignoring that letter you get every 3 years used to be ok - ignorance is bliss etc. But now the cancer has a real face. No-one wants to die young. So for that 5 mins of pain and embarrassment a lot of silly women are now realising it's worth it. And that means, despite what she was and how she behaved, Jade has raised awareness.
