Chris Wilson
For ages now I have procrastinated over buying something quick enough to really scare myself, and after a near miss with an Arrows F1 that had a somewhat less than obvious problem I found something less than 30 miles away that fitted the bill. I had to trailer it back as the truck's out of test, so it's filthy due to the foul weather here yesterday, but I couldn't resist snapping a few pics. I intend to take it out for a couple of shakedown sessions this year, then rebuild it over the winter to a nice standard and keep it for some time. The wife approves of it, which is good, as it has come out of funds she was earmarking for some work on the house, and I am now happy to have in build a nice Sports GT racing car, a potentially rapid saloon, that can conceivably be driven to and from track days, and a serious single seater with 500 BHP. I think years of spending little on gizmos, clothes and holidays has had its just rewards, I am very keen to get this thing up and running. It's been idle for some years, but is basically in very good order having had a lot spent on it before being laid up. http://www.chriswilson.tv/LolaT91/lola.html
Gaz6002
I always like your threads Chris! Will you track it? Hillclimb? Only 500bhp?! And it weighs...? Very nice buy.

Homer
Wow! What is it? Edit - nevermind, missed the URL. Lola T91/50 F3000 car? Google says Damon Hill used to race these in 1991. What on earth are those spark plugs? I've not seen ones like that before.

Is this your car being discussed 5 years ago? Look for the bit about John Roberts.

God, that was a lot to wade through, but yes, that'll be the same car. it's an ex Heinz Harold Frentzen car, then run on the hills in Belgium. Busy making an adaptor to do a compression and leakdown test on it. 10mm x 1.0 plug size, down an 18 mm well. the plugs take a 1/2 inch socket. so they are tiny.
