The Raven
Flicking though auto trader i notice an add from a breakers. 97 black 3ltr twin turbo supra body kit and extras NOT salvage £3500 ono. About 30 miles away so im thinking buy it sell it on, or steal bits i need for mine Engine gearbox ect. Phone call went like this "Hi mate got a supra listed in the trader?" Me "yeah mate sure have" Fool "is it an import or a uk car?" (thinking im quids in if it is) "import mate but they are just as good" "Is it an auto" again im thinking ooooo 6 speed! "no mate its a man" Now im getting giddy already checking funds and what not. So i need a few more questions answered. "so its a 6 speed box then?" "no its a 5 speed" Bugger thinks i. "so you have converted it to a Twin turbo because they never made a 5 speed tt" I point out. "mate theres over 70 different models of supra this is a trd one" I try not to laugh and ask again "so has it got a twin turbo engine?" "its all set up for the turbos" "what it has a TT engine but needs the turbos bolted on?" "well i suppose you could just bolt them on yeah, ive had the head off and blah blah blah blah" by this point ive lost the will to live. He ended with "i had 150 out of it on the motor way, these things crusie at that speed" "So its not a twin turbo at all then" "no" "thanks" And i hang up. Now i know people can claim crazy BHP and other mods that without being a super tech you could never prove but claiming Twin turbo when its an N/A? marbleapple
you could never prove but claiming Twin turbo when its an N/A? They are the same thing... I mean they have an engine, wheels and lights.... what more do you want? Want to buy my TT.... its an N/A but if you close your eyes it looks a lot like a TT.
