d_d
Yea thanx for the help. Basically the old head unit (standard unit) wouldnt take cd's it kept spitting them out. So i purchased another identical head unit and placed it in. Now this cd-player will take the cd's and even play them as its clocking up time, but now from what i can see if you turn the volume on maximum you can faintly hear the music. I suspect the amp is broke? But i wont no for sure Unless anyone else has any ideas??
JustGav
Does the radio work? if not, then either the speakers are shorting somewhere or the head unit has failed under continuous testing.
d_d
no the radio does not work, altho it never has since ive owned the car. I suspect theres something else wrong with the aerial. Im fairly sure the headunit works as i was told and bought off a member on here.
merckx
I think most of us on here have fitted aftermarket head units which bypass the stock amplifier so may not have encountered the problems you're having. Just like you said it could well be the stock amplifier, obviously I would just be checking the connections at the head unit and amp first. I'm sure there'll be plenty of spare amplifiers on here if you need one. I've just found a fault finding section in the manual, it might be helpful if you haven't already looked at it.
