Ian C
for the sake of aiding national security. If a scheme like this was actually implemented, it wouldn't be paper based, it'd be an automatic system and you wouldn't have to do anything yourself. I have nothing to hide so don't give a crap what information the government want to keep about me. Can I put video cameras in every room in your house please so I can make sure you aren't planning on stealing anything of mine, attacking anyone I know, or perform any other illegal or suspicious activity. I'll record and store all the footage but it'll only ever be used for security purposes. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear. except sell it, which they can't and won't. -Ian
RedM
I notice there's no mention of how any of us are going to afford a f**king holiday soon.
JustGav
I'm getting my tin foil hat out I really do chuckle at how people panic when somebody goes 'They are recording your info'... It is done every day. Do you have any store cards, then you are aware that you are doing their marketing work for them and they know everything you buy. Not a fan of being monitored, but I'm guilty of monitoring my internet at home with the kids and I class it as a necessary intrusion for their protection, so I accept that it is part of life. Thorin
What will they do if you don't own a credit card? (no I haven't been arsed to read the article)

ivan
Hey stuff 'em. The first 'shadowy border' guard to ask me for my credit card details gets me sent straight to jail.

I suspect that will also directly conflict with your credit cards T's and C's somewhere.
