Sheena (Amazing grace) & Sjoerd just paid up to run.

Well done both :)

Will they run the 'vette as well ???

Sheena's now BPU so is looking to give Soo a run for her money this year - is there a "Ladies" Trophy :)

Have we decided on what competitions we are doing?

I was thinking

1. Drag Tyres

2. Single

3. TT

4. NA

5. Slowest recorded of the day?

6. Best Burnout

7. Show and Shine

8. Best Drifter

9. Worst Drifter

Would be cool to have some competitions.

Good idea...

Is there going to be someone there with a mic / amp so we can all hear the results ?

:) am i right in thinking its £55 in per car? and £20 camping per tent?

Yes, it's £55 per driver, not car for the drag strip usage, passengers have to pay the entry fee. Supradome is £20 per tent

I will be going with my son just to spectate, What the best way to pay?

Prepay via paypal is the easiest, however you can pay on the gate. If your son is under 16 he will get in free.

If you are planning on running you will really need to reserve a space and pre-pay, there's a good chance the tickets will run out in the next week (last year we sold 50% of the tickets in the last 10 days before the event).

Some of you may/may not know that Sky Insurance contribute towards Suprapod by supplying the event insurance for the day.

Off that back of this, the club kindly let us have one place on the day. I (Ollie) used the place last year but only managed one run in my turbo converted Mk1 MR2 before snapping a driveshaft!

This year instead of me breaking my car again we have recruited Nathan from Century Motorsport to run on the day on behalf of Sky Insurance.

For those of you who dont know, Nathan and Century Motorsport have recently broken the WORLD record for having the fastest MR2..

Check out his run here:

We are very excited by this and are proud that Nathan is running on our behalf.

We look forward to seeing you all on the day :)

Great news Ollie, will be great to see it run.

Re the Event Insurance, is the "rained off insurance" if so,what are the terms for this.

As I'm paying for both of us it gets expensive (not to mention I'm a tight Yorkshireman) :D

Cheers

Thanks G, as I said, we are excited about this, I personally (MR2 fanatic that I am!) cant wait to see it run..

With regards to the event insurance, I will need to check, this is all done by our commercial insurance team so I am not 100% sure what is covers.. Supra Club officials have the information if they wish to post it up

Thanks

Ollie

Look forward to seeing the MR2 run. :)

I don't have the insurance details, but from memory I think if the day becomes a total washout by a certain time during the day we're covered - obviously if we run all day loing then it rains in the closing hours then it's a different story. Branners has the specific details but he's away at the moment.

Steve, just checked i'm not on the paid list. My private message 27/07/09 still says unread?

Will be updated very soon: Guigsy helped me out whilst I was away but I need him to send me back the list so I can finish the catch-up. there have been a LOT of people pay-up in the last few weeks and there just hasn't been enough hours in the day to keep up.
