Guest edlon
Hi since taking a supra back to South Africa would never materialised i've decided to go old skool ford.Just bought a 1956 ford f100 back in SA. Does anybody know of an f100 owner or owns one of these truck. I need some info on brake improvement as she is still on drums all round and also on leaf spring lowering.I dont want to go the JAG suspension way and would like to maintain the stock components. By the way this is a right hand drive model A far cry from the curvy looks of a supra but she is mine now nonetheless Thanks

garethr
A quick google found this Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit for your 1956 Ford F-100 Whether it would work on a right-hand drive truck built in South Africa is another matter The alternative seems to be to use the complete "front clip" from a later vehicle. Guest edlon
regarding the disc conversion they use american sourced discs and pads mainly mustang and chevy components, my brother has a mustang and finding parts is a nightmare it usually means shipping from the states and with the SA currency being worst off than the pound it is rather expenive. Installing a new front clip involves alot of technical meaasurements and knowhow.... something I do not possess...lol

Guest edlon
just discovered that although it was registered in 1956 it is actually a 1955 model (no curved windscreen) but i am still happy might be buying a brake disc bolt on conversion kit
