ClaireRZ-S
Right guys i think its about time i got a FMIC for the car. I haven't a clue what to get and i'm also running BPU. I dont have a lot of money to spend but i dont want to buy a cheapie one that won't work great. Thanks
T2 MSW
My only advise would be to have a serious think about where your going with the car before making a purchase. For example when I went BPU I said am really likely to go more than BPU and the answer to the question was prob not So I went with a 2 row FMIC and here I am going single with prob the added expense of another FMIC. Gaz6002
The Blitz LM would be my choice if I was choosing again. It's not cheap, but worth it for the quality. That or an ARC one

ClaireRZ-S
Found an old thread i sent Nic a PM as he seems to have a few in stock i'd also like one that would sit underneath my Do luck bumper ok
Lukeyboy2k
I'm running a Greddy LS with a small single. No problems so far, so I'd have thought it would be more than adequate for BPU. It was about £500 brand new 6 months ago.
Dan_Turism0
good thread this, with the power recommendations per FMIC that are posted ie some rated upto 450bhp is this to be taken with a pinch of salt?
ClaireRZ-S
What do you think of this one guys any good?? http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Toyota-Supra/Toyota-Supra/Toyota-Supra-Mk4-Front-Mount-Intercooler-Kit/p-28-1-499/

ClaireRZ-S
What about an SMIC? Or do you want it for looks? I want it for a bith of both i have the do luck bumper and i dont fancy putting mesh there.
Dan_Turism0
one thing I would like to know is the performance gain difference from say the one Claire has posted to say a HKS with the same number of row's and if it's justifiable by the cost difference? Suppose we won't find out unless someone buys both? Any guinea pigs
SupraGirlie
I want it for a bith of both i have the do luck bumper and i dont fancy putting mesh there. Ah ok, if you have a Do-luck then an FMIC is better as SMIC work best with stock.
DODGYDODDS
i got HKS, works fine for me. I would think the one you posted would be spot on for a bpu'd supe.
ClaireRZ-S
Envy also do their own one to don't they? This one i think would be suited also.
DODGYDODDS
also have look at whifbitz, he's quite competitive
Tricky-Ricky
I am pretty happy with BPU at the moment and i dont think i will go any further than that Then if your std side mount is in good condition, there is no need for a front mount, you wont gain anything and i doubt you will even notice the difference. Chiefgroover
Chris wilsons SMIC's get a good report. Perfect for BPU
paul mac
What do you think of this one guys any good?? http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Toyota-Supra/Toyota-Supra/Toyota-Supra-Mk4-Front-Mount-Intercooler-Kit/p-28-1-499/ if you are BPU the one above would be more than good enough, there are two types of intercooler, bar and plate or tube and fin, the one you list is bar and plate which are not quite as efficient as tube and fin but not by much, the end tanks are a good shape and with the connecting piepwork it looks a good deal, there really is no point putting a £600-£1000 intercooler on an engine that is going to be at the 400bhp mark for the rest of its days
magictorch
You could try a XS power Fmic... there are a few members using them now and having good results:) They were £230 delivered on Ebay
MarkR
I've got a blitz LM. Works a treat...... not cheap though.
SupraShaun
This one seems very cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160320804005 Even if you don't end up using the core for long seems a good price for the pipes, Mikolar "style" clamps, power steering cooler and overflow tank. tony tt
I got my fmic from ebay and havent had any problems with it. The fitting was good and everything lined up well. I will say though the jubilee clips that come with it are crap so if you are going for an ebay one buy a better quality jubilee clip for the pipe connections.
