TRD Exhaust - Very Quiet

About 18 months ago I put this TRD exhaust on my car as the BL I had was aggravating my continual migraines. I wanted something quiet, and after quite a bit of hunting, decided on the TRD.

It is phenominally quiet! Those that have heard it will testify that it sounds nearly as quiet as a stock Supra (ask Ryan or Homer), but with more of a growl. And that's on my single! It does have a nice tone, but such things are always subjective.

I took these photos when I polished up the exhaust before putting it on my car:

I'm now selling it because it is a little bit too restrictive for my car. I struggle to get more than 1.25 bar of boost, which is limiting me to 500FWHP. So I wouldn't recommend this exhaust to anyone wanting to run more power than that. But it's certainly fine for anyone BPU or with a modest single and not expecting more than 500 bhp.

A fellow club member is selling me her SuperDragger, which is expected to be taken off her car in about a week. At this point I can take the TRD off my car. It can be collected from me in Berkshire, or alternatively, I may be able to leave it at ToyotaGT for a short while, which is where I'll be having the zorsts swapped.

This is a full cat-back exhaust and is considerably more free-flowing than stock. If you want a performance zorst that's incredibly quiet and at a bargain price, then this is the one for you. I'm looking for £250.

Will you post this?

I'd rather not, as I've no idea how I'd pack the thing and get it shipped!

Great price for this exhuast

Bit of a collectors item as they have now been discontinued too :)

Yeah, there don't seem to be any about. In fact, I've never seen another during my time on this board. I've noticed some companies making copies of the TRD 'Gen2', but the Gen2 looks nothing like this exhaust, and I hear the copies are nothing like the TRDs anyway.

TTRickeh, assuming you're paying for the postage, then it looks like we have a deal!

I don't know exactly when the other club member will be giving me her Dragger, so I can't promise a date at the moment. But as soon as I have some details (and a booking with James!), I'll let you know. Sound okay?

And James, the email you'll have received a few minutes ago from me won't come as a surprise now. :)

Really nice exhaust this one, superb fit around the rear bumper and excellent clearance (as you'd expect from a genuine TRD item of course!).

Though it's very quiet it does have a nice sound, louder and deeper than stock, but still very much neighbour friendly. Quite honestly, as a passenger in the car on the motorway, you'd never believe it had an big aftermarket exhaust, let alone one being on a single turbo. It was one of the most comfortable journeys I've had in a supra :D

Looking for more powoaarr already Darren? ;) It's got plenty to come with the spec you have!

I wonder which is more restrictive, this or my Nur Spec RX? The ground clearance is one of the main points, i'm tired of scraping my exhaust EVERY time I leave my driveway, I even managed to scuff it along a country road the other night.

I'm fully decatted so hopefully it'll still have a bit of bite :D Either that or I sell it on again, raid my life savings and buy that rainbow Amuse one that was just posted up!

truely great exhaust, i had one on my supra when i bought it, though i sold it to go Nur-spec and sometime regret it. yours loopks alot cleaner then mine did and your selling it alot cheaper too. whoever buys it in my eyes is damn lucky.

Hmmm not how i remember it...and it cleaned up a treat and still going strong and sounds the nuts too imo.

I would highly recommend this exhaust...rare as hens teeth now:)

I've had quite a few PMs about this exhaust. Sorry I haven't had a chance to reply to them yet. I've been a bit busy these last couple of days.

As it stands at the moment, I think I have a deal with TTRickeh. Branners currently has 2nd refusal.

I haven't managed to take any photos showing the clearance yet, but I've never caught anything in the 18 months I've had it.

Alright don't worry about it i'm sure it'll be fine. Let me know when there's any progress with swapping the exhausts over. Cheers
