supraszr
Can anyone tell me when buying a clutch for this gearbox i presume I can buy one that is listed on Ebay that says 6 speed TT? I know this is the V160 Gearbox but are they the same clutch?
Homer
Don't buy shite from ebay mate! Get a decent one from a performance tuner, it'll save you a lot of cash in the long run. Sorry, cannot answer your question, but if you ask one of the traders they will give you an answer right away
Nic
I see from your sig yours is a 6spd NA SZR, the smoothest, quietest and best option would be to fit replacement OEM Toyota parts. Here are the Toyota part numbers you need. 31210-14180 Clutch Cover 31250-14200 Clutch Disc 31231-14050 Release Bearing Edited March 17, 2009 by Nic (see edit history)
Nic
Sorry, cannot answer your question, but if you ask one of the traders they will give you an answer right away The V160 and V161 clutches on the TT are the same and interchangeable. The stock clutch cover and disc on the 6spd NA have different part numbers (I'm guessing the NA clutch will be a little lighter), but a 6spd TT clutch would fit. Nic
Thanks for all your help guys, Nic do you have any idea on cost? Not sure how much they will be there, I supply the parts I listed for a couple of hundred quid (very rough estimate, would need to check current prices). If your clutch is already slipping, then probably best to source locally as it would take me a month or so to order the parts from here.
