Kirk
well as floaters there bound to rattle! i can deal with that but the brake squeal becomes annoying to me. A grooved set would probly be more appealing to me for buildup issues and brake fade but maybe thats me being fussy
Wez
well as floaters there bound to rattle! i can deal with that but the brake squeal becomes annoying to me. The squeal is more brake pad and as far as I know there aren't anymore Performance Friction pads available it shouldn't be a prob
Chris Wilson
Wes, glad the brakes have proven good, would you mind e-mailing me the PF pad part numbers, I see to have lost them. Thanks
T2 MSW
Well I dont have any braking issues on track and they work OK when cold, they are noisy though, the rotors rattle and clunk and the pads sequel at low speeds but none of that matter on track EDIT: just to add, after some laps at Brands the plastic valve caps had melted from the heat which was amusing Looking good Wez, the floating disk is awesome on the tarck but it does rattle about a bit as it moves on the road. There musy be a solution about for the rattling like the brembos/AP's with the clip in the disk to stop the rattle?? How did you find the pads bite wize? Wez
What are you doing with the bootlid anyway? Stripping it, cutting it up much like Ryans and fitting my Lexan window, my current rear hatch has no spoiler holes so if I want to add something like an APR GTC-300 wing I now can. JustGav
robinson racecars in hook Not in hook I don't think, on the A33 just outside Basingstoke on the way to Reading. I used to drive past often and see a jet car there and never worked out who it was until Wez mentioned it the other day and then the penny dropped when I called them
Wez
It lives Started it up today, took it for warm up round the block a few times, removed all the stickers and gave it a wash, got a few more bits to sort out then hopefully do a trackday. Gives me a date to aim for It has a stock seat in it at the moment as I am still waiting for a sub frame for my seat, the supplier in Japan stuck it on a container ship approx 4 weeks ago, so hopefully should be here soon.
