mwilkinson
In short no. To drive the vehicle on a UK road you will need valid insurance, MOT and car tax. If you don't want to pay Uk car tax you could always trailer it?? Although this will likely cost more to hire etc..
Dyer864
Best to get jody to tax it prior to buying at who's ever cost ! to be on the safe side of the law
edge
It can be taxed so you could pay for a minimun of 6 months then get money for 5 months

lexsum
no, the important thing is staying alive (and also not breaking the law.) you can also own a car in the UK at 16 but can't drive on a public road.

marcAB10
The main thing is that you are asking the question, which means you are concerned that everything is legal. which is good. the second post should help clear things up. In short no. To drive the vehicle on a UK road you will need valid insurance, MOT and car tax. If you don't want to pay Uk car tax you could always trailer it?? Although this will likely cost more to hire etc.. Also, as your young, and the supra is a handfull sometimes even to experianced drivers we are just warning you to take things easy, try and take your time when you first drive it as they can be very tail happy in the wet.
