Branners
Has anybody ever seen a silver supra with substantial graphics that actually work well? Im thinking something of the scale of Matt's Trial Supra, full graphics but tastefully done. I saw the Castrol supra in silver recently and it didnt look quite right, so it got me thinking whether it is possible to have a silver car and have graphics that work. thanks JB
SupraStar 3000
Lucky this is your Club JB otherwise you'd get lynched for saying such things I tried it once, but failed.
Branners
It would be as an advertising platform for the club, so would probably be designed by the members. I just dont know if its even possible or whether we need to consider it only on a black, white or red car.
Gaz6002
I think with silver the problem you'd have is making anything stand out enough to class as advertising. What colour contrasts silver enough to catch the eye?
SupraStar 3000
I'd consider another colour to Silver. Black maybe. Silver doesn't seem to suite graphics IMHO.
hoff
Maybe with the right colour combinations. Black would probably be best IMO with a grey outline maybe. Here are some (poor) examples from a quick search... http://media.merchantcircle.com/4577424/silver%20car%20with%20purple%20stripes.2_medium.jpeg http://www.dannylasoski.com/dlroth07/photos/Charlotte.gif http://www.ridergraphix.com/Challenger_Silver_Lower2s.jpg http://www.barrett-jackson.com/staging/carlist/items/Fullsize/Cars//62155/62155_Front_3-4.jpg
PJ
Silver on silver ghosting would work well I reckon. This is a bit like what I mean but silver on silver would be more sublte http://www.skewer.co.uk/images/fbg2004_04t.jpg I'll see if I can find a better example of what I mean
hoff
By the way I'm not a fan of any of the examples I posted;) I certainly, thinking about, would ONLY have a black graphic on a silver car because as Ed said it would stand out too much with any other colour I think. And if that were the case could look somewhat chavy IMHO.
hoff
Here's another example of a bold blue (again I really don't like the design) on a very similar silver to a supras. It may work witht the right design but still feel a more subtle colour would be better. http://seventhstarcustom.com/images/gallery/car_eclipse_7th4.jpg https://www.demongraphics.co.uk/images/full-side-graphics-008-smal.jpg Someone may be able to photoshop something together:)
colsoop
It would depend on the car too, i don't think a stock bodies car can pull off full graphics but some subtle highlights could work.
Wez
Silver and graphics dont work I been trying for a while to think of a colour scheme to make it work and its a PITA of a colour for advertising.
j_jza80
Black and gunmetal/anthracite can work quite well on silver. I like these also:
colsoop
Any particular graphics you are looking at ? im assuming the club logo will play a big part in a design ?
3LL
do it on a black or white Supra.
marcAB10
Not seen a silver supra to date where graphics work well but imo black or dark blue graphics would probably work best.
The Raven
YAY! More hate for my car! I will admit to not liking it from the pictures to the point i was asking here how to remove the whole lot. Having picked it up i have since changed my mind. Also being told it could be the worst car on the owners club while not only insulting also spurs me on the leave it as it is with some playing about OEM skirts and spats on the way followed by some carbon goodies, facelift lights and a respray of the wheels. So far everyone not on the club loves it. I will be taking some more pictures for you all to hate on in a few days.

Dave17
We've got a silver Supe around here, thats got blue tribal and fire patterns all over the place. It looks reasonable although it's definately not to my taste, hopefully i'll be able to get some photo's for you next time i see it.
Rich
How about Woons car? the graphics dont look so bad....
Rich
I know but i am the most hated:d IMO the only way to pull off the castrol graphics would be to go for a full castrol widebody supra kit with the graphics on white, basically a lifelike replica of the GT car. heather1mee
Think supras look well with out! in my opnion! wouldnt fancy the graphics on that one above, the lady makes it look good!

Now i have got over myself, I dont think it over matters what colour the car is, aslong as the kit and wheels are fitted well and the car runs 100% it will do its job just fine.
