BJ_dpc
I've got a EU spec LHD A/T TT. The car runs fine but sometimes when i floor the gas i'm missing the power. It feels like it is driving in few gears to high. It goes to 3000rpm and then it shifts up again. Whatever i do the rev don't go up. When i put the ignition off and start again the problem sometimes is gone. But most off the time it's still there. Occasionally the problem doesn't come at all and the car runs fine. I've got no idea where to look. Is it the transmission? Elektronic problem? If someone experienced the same or has a clue please let me know. Thanks! Pig
Could it be a case of the second turbo not coming in?
gaz1
Could it be a case of the second turbo not coming in? no as it would still rev higher than 3k i have seen a few threads about this problem, a search may help
BJ_dpc
But strange thing is that the rev don't go up and even with full trottle it shifts at 3000rpm. Today it happend again. Turnt the engine off, started again and the problem was gone... Should allmost say some electric problem...but what??
chris2o2
Could it not be something simple like the plugs ?
BJ_dpc
Plugs? Hmm...can it be? Shouldn't it be there all the time then? I searched for a few weeks already but couldn't find the exact problem like i'm having.
chris2o2
Possibly , im not 100% but for the cost of some plugs maybe its worth changing them? My j-spec Auto tt had some issues with lack of power when i needed it , it was as if the turbos wouldnt come on sometimes and you had to kick it again and hope that worked . Change of plugs and solved the issue.
BJ_dpc
Oke! Than i'm gonna change them and see if it helps! Thanks for the advise!
