Recommended Posts

I have new suspension fitted but still haven't had time to set it up, iv got all tools to set it up as my dad has his own garage but im wondering what specs i should be putting it too?

As in if its better to have the rear higher/lower than the front, if so by how much also how to balance the the dampener front to back

also what camber is best.

all for street use occasional track day.

Come to the suspension geometry tech talk I've organised on 5th April and ask an expert?

Look in Midlands events - it's free.

To answer one of your questions however, you will ALWAYS want the rear higher than the front. The other way round will introduce lift at speed, which is potentially very dangerous.

The rake of a car isn't judged by the top of the tyre to wheel arch top clearances, front to rear, if that's how people are considering this?

I measure from a flat ground surface to where the lower wishbone connects to the sub frame.

Read it on here on a previous suspension thread. I think it was in relation to the wheel arch like chris suggests though.

That would explain it - that's not the same thing AIUI.
