JustGav
Thanks for clearing that up. I'll duck out of this now, but keep talking to Gav, he's one of the very few people who've done this swap before so has some real first-hand experience. Errr, I went to bed Chico, get as many pictures as you can and then we can see what we are looking at... things such as the layout of the plugs, rows x columns, and some of the wire colours always helps to confirm as well.. Pictures are our friends

Jezz
Just to clarify, the engine is a Supra 2jz gte VVTI, the engine loom is Supra 2jz gte VVTI, and the ecu is Supra 2jz gte VVTI. Everything used on that conversion is from a 2000 Supra TT VVTI 6 speed. Chico, you say it runs for 3 seconds then dies, yet on the phone you said it only runs for 3 seconds when you spray easy start in the intake. Which says to me it definately has spark, but has no fuel? Even though you say the fuel pump is running, have you checked for pressure at the rail? As far as I can remember, that car never had an alarm/immobiliser, so I dont understand what your guy has chopped out?

chico
Now i´m really confused... coz the vvti ecu pic i uploaded was pulled out of a complete running vvti TT just to take the pics! and the one fitted in my car doesnt looks the same! The big grey pin is missing... Jezz- this is the imobiliser the garage pulled out! Edited March 14, 2009 by chico (see edit history)
Jezz
That looks like a stock toyota immobiliser box. That car never had an immobiliser, so it must have been disconnected before we had the car. As for the grey plug you're having trouble with, thats for a trac ecu, the car would run with it disconnected anyway.

chico
2JZ-GTE VVTi 6spd it's the right one. but the big grey is missing, as i have a contact hanging lose from the W.loom...
Homer
but the big grey is missing, as i have a contact hanging lose from the W.loom... Thats only the traction control ECU, it doesn't make any difference as was mentioned already. Most people just unplug the thing anyway as it's utterly useless. Edit - googled the part numbers and this is what I found: 89661-14830 - Is for a Supra TT VVTi 6 speed 89661-3A470 - Is for an Aristo TT VVTi 6 speed So, the ECU you have is for an Aristo http://www.clublexus.com/forums/3869318-post52.html

Jezz, as you can see in the pics i´ve uploaded its a 89661-3a470 ecu... (Check out the date when the pics been taken, in left corner) and look what Homer digged out at http://www.clublexus.com/forums/3869318-post52.html And this one is EXACTLY the same like the one you sent with the car! You tell me?!?! Edited March 16, 2009 by chico (see edit history)
Homer
That ECU should still run the engine though. I wonder if it could be due to a mismatch between the difference between the two cars (there shouldn't be much) Maybe the way it handles the fuel pump or MAF sensor... clublexus or the aristo club might be a good place to ask. I cant see the fact its an Aristo ECU being a problem, as you say it should at least run on it. The engine, loom and ecu all came from the same car, a 2000 VVTI Supra, so the owner before us must have stuck an Aristo ECU in for some reason. The whole setup thats now in Chico's car, ran perfectly in the Supra it was removed from.
