Homer
If there's no reply by tomorrow I'll take one. Anything specific you want to see or just the casing?
chico
Thanx Homer, really nice of you... take pics so i can see the connections, and the partnumber! and check if it has 3connections or 5! thanx
Homer
Okay, will do. The NA ECU has 3 connections, the VVTi TT has five, not sure about a VVTi NA (as no one has even proved they exist outside the US).
chico
The VVTI has 5small white connections and 1big grey! but still need a pic of the na ecu coz i cant find out what ecu is in my soop! it has done a na-tt (vvti) conversion! vvti ecu: Edited March 13, 2009 by chico (see edit history)
JustGav
The NA ecu looks like the TT one externally... I'll dig out a pic in a sec..

Homer
The pic you posted is a VVTi manual ECU, that much is for sure. Whether it's from an NA or TT is another matter, but I seriously doubt it's an NA one for the reason mentioned earlier.

Only thing I can think, is that it has had a lexus 2jz-gt put in, but I'm not sure how easy that would be do wiring wise once inside the car. I'd be pretty confident that it would be a bastid rewire job.

chico
ok, but i only uploaded pics of a REAL vvti ecu, thats not the one fitted... the one fitted has only 5connections without the big grey to left in the pic! so it looks like the one in pic but no big grey... so i´ve got a connection from the W.loom hanging loose! Homer
The pics should tell all, but in the mean time I think the extra plug at the bottom is an integrated trac control ECU. The plug is the right type for the seperate trac unit on the non-VVTi TT's.
chico
Get a pic of the engine bay up chap, it will help no end, seriously. dont have any pic of it yet... The car was born SZ-R and been converted by Jezz/Steve to 90%, i bought it unfinished! and Steve and jezz says its the right Ecu. but i know for sure that the engine is a VVTI! googled one and it looks like this! I can't actually recall, busy looking on the net to see if I can find one... I did find the attached image on images.google.com which made me chuckle

If it has that engine, then it is a VVTi Twin Turbo and not an ECU and then you have the right ECU with the 5 connectors.

chico
my mate told me that the vvti only has one ecu for al... like throtthle, traction etc etc..
chico
The issue is that the car runs for 3sec and dies. i´ve checked the fuelpump, and its running as its should! everything is working fine, like lights, wipers, etc etc... coz of that last connection hanging loose from the wiringloom! Robert
the aristo TT ecu has 2jz-gt written on it, just to confirm
Homer
my mate told me that the vvti only has one ecu for al... like throtthle, traction etc etc.. So what does your car actually have installed? A picture will tell all. In the non-VVTi the trac is a seperate ECU, that much is for certain. On some model VVTi's, it *might* be integrated (this is an assumption based on your picture).
