My mapping results !! need advice

Stealth-1JZ

Recommended Posts

Well i went out this morning to get the soarer mapped

The results @15psi were

291 rwhp

370 ft/lbs

est. 350hp @ the fly

Here is a HPxSPEEDxTORQUE sheet

Out on the road when i plant the right foot there is a good bit of a delay before it starts to move.

The mapper said it’s almost like a slipping clutch.

Could this be a sign the converter or gearbox is on its last legs?

Or something else/worse

Modifications:

blitz BOV

Apexi power intake

A01B LSD

blitz nur spec R cat back and decat

Greddy spec R FMIC

walbro pump

aremotive FPR

e-manage blue

e-o1 boost controler @ 15psi

std 380cc injectors

denso ik22 plugs

There actually quite good numbers for 1bar. Especially the Torque figure which is around 40 more than i woulda expected.

Damo, does she seem to Rev out without moving if you know what i mean?

Whens the last time she had a fluid change?

I would look at shimming the box and installing a cooler, as you know they can be a lazy box

exactly what it dose

say im siting at 30kph/2500rpm and plant the boot, shell rev to around 5K rpm hit a bar and away she goes like shit off a shovel LOL

but doseant realy move till it hits a bar/5K rpm

Cihan a realy good emanage maper in OZ sugested it was due to the factory computer pulling timing because of knock onset by .. too much timing.

said to try progressively pull 3-5 above 4.0v degree's between 3000-4500rpm and go from there ?

i have allready looked at a cooler,ATF temp gauge, rebuilt valve body and better converter.

if i get them you know ill be right up to you to fit them as u have done most of the work on the car so far ? LOL

oh and i changed the 2L or so of dex II in the box sump the day before the map

Ahh Mr Cihan Aday, didnt know he was still working with emanage's

is it a recent thing? been a while from i drove it lol but i remember it went like shit of a shovel to a hair under a bar...I could understand retard due to knock if anything above 12psi or So but not in the lower boost regions unless whoever was mapping it (Nick?) has it running pretty lean down there and its knocking its tits off. Also, how are the gear changes? as the shift retard will greatly be effected if she is knocking

I woulda also suggested manually locking the coverter up on the dyno to see if it made any difference :)

Did you get an AFR printout, and where they checking for DET?
