VELOCITY
I have just had a HID kit send to me from the states, the problem is that the bulbs do not fit!!! As per all the manuals, websites and even Halford say that the bulbs are supposed to be 9006/NB4 bulbs so this is what I ordered. When they turned up they were too big. I tried a 9005/HB3 bulb and they fit so i have to sent the kit back to the USA. My headlamps even have HB4 moulded onto them. Am I going mad????? J-Spec Supra Low Beam = 9006J High Beam = 9005J UK Spec Supra Low Beam = 9006 High Beam = 9005 See attached photos for the differences between the bulbs. AFAIK the 9006J and 9005J are not available in HID kits. The 9005 bulb will fit in the low beam headlight on a J-Spec. So for J-Spec order Low Beam = 9005 High Beam = 9005 BTW where in the US did you get the kit, as it is actually illegal now for US suppliers to sell HID kits, even overseas. If it was me, I would return the whole kit and order the kit in the group buy Terminator is running (see for sale section), I have this kit fitted and the quality is amazing. There's a lot of rubbish stuff around. Like Nic says if you can, return it and get some from the Terminator Group - they are proven to be good! By any chance do you have the facelift headlights? Jspec Germany
Okay fellas, I want in on this. How do I get a set of the High Intensity bulbs for my Jspec Supe? I'm planning on doing the tedious pop the headlamps in the oven and clean the plastic operation. What better a time to go to a brighter bulb? What's cost and where do they come from? I can ship to my U.S. address here at no extra cost and even better, I don't pay the German taxes. Thanks for the good dope ahead of time. Cheers.
